Nights In Suspense

2016 – ongoing

As one of the most densely-populated cities in the world, Hong Kong is well-known for its bustling streets, skyscrapers, and a dynamic mix of cultures and styles. While “hustle and bustle” can be a common feature of many big cities across the globe, Hong Kong seems to have an unrivaled uniqueness when it comes to “quietness”. In my night photography, I explore this truthfulness of Hong Kong – tranquil, exposed, with a multitude of story lines and dimensions, and even a dose of loneliness. The vibrant colors of the night become my unlikely ally after sunset. With the distracting “busyness” removed from the equation, you can connect with the actual environment and hear the stories.
